İlyun Bürkev

Classical Piano

16-year-old İlyun Bürkev, who started her piano education at the age of 4, continued her piano education with Prof. Burcu Aktaş Urgun at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory, with state artist pianist Gülsin Onay, and with Prof. Pavel Gililov at Salzburg Mozarteum University.

She won the 1st place in the Mozarteum University Pre-College exam and became the first Pre-College student in Prof. Pavel Gililov's career.

İlyun Bürkev, having been awarded a scholarship from the Liechtenstein Music Academy, regularly participates in the academy's programs and continues to perform in its concerts.

She performed at the opening concert of the 52nd Istanbul Music Festival, sharing the stage with the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Cem Mansur.

She performed Grieg's Concerto with the Mariinsky Orchestra at the Mariinsky Theatre, conducted by Maestro Cemi’i Can Deliorman.

She has participated in masterclasses led by renowned pianists such as Alfred Brendel, Andreas Weber, Björn Lehmann, Caspar Frantz, Hüseyin Sermet, Milana Chernyavska, Piotr Paleczny, Gülsin Onay, Gereon Kleiner, Vincenzo Barzani, and Emre Şen.

İlyun Bürkev was the soloist on an 11-concert tour in Germany with the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn and conductor Alexander Hülshoff. The tour began on September 25, 2023, with a performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 at the Konzerthaus Berlin, and continued successfully in venues such as Bielefeld Rudolf-Oetker-Halle, Bremen Die Glocke, Bonn Maritim Hotel, Hannover Landesfunkhaus, Hamburg Laeiszhalle, Karlsruhe Konzerthaus, Nürnberg Meistersingerhalle, Stuttgart Liederhalle, Wiesbaden Kurhaus, and München Herkulessaal.

Continuing her education at the Salzburg Mozarteum University under Prof. Pavel Gililov, İlyun Bürkev has won numerous awards in international competitions, including the Jeune Chopin International Piano Competition organized by the Chopin Institute and the Concerto Competition of the Philadelphia International Music Festival.

She has performed with the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn Orchestra, Mariinsky Orchestra, Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Olten Philharmonic Orchestra, and the orchestras of Izmir, Çukurova, and Bursa. İlyun has also collaborated with renowned conductors such as Alexander Hülshoff, İbrahim Yazıcı, Cem Mansur, Rengim Gökmen, Hasan Niyazi Tura, Tolga Atalay Ün, and Cemi’i Can Deliorman.
