BIO
Besides being a trumpeter and composer, he is a lover of fusion and an explorer of horizons. His passion for creation has been present since his childhood; sitting at his grandparents' piano for hours, exploring the logic of harmony, he increasingly felt the need to understand the essence of music.
A message serves as the guiding thread for each of his creations, and melody is his narration. His voice is the sound of the trumpet, representing his personal seal, and in his improvisation is where one can truly meet Gregori Hollis.
Born into a family of musicians (Barcelona, 1994), he was raised and primarily educated in a classical music environment, later evolving towards Jazz. The trumpeter stands out for his extraordinary versatility and goes beyond being just a performer and soloist; Gregori Hollis is also a composer and arranger.
His outstanding academic career is reflected in his graduation with honors from ESMUC (University of music of Catalonia, Spain) in Jazz Trumpet in 2018. During his training, he has had the privilege of complementing his studies with renowned international musicians and performers such as Mireia Farrés, Greg Gisbert, Michael Rodríguez, and Llibert Fortuny, who have contributed to shaping his sound and music to this day.
In 2021, amidst the pandemic, he released his first LP "Landing", a Fusion Jazz album with Afro-Cuban music, which he presented at various venues and Jazz Festivals in Catalonia, Spain.
During 2021 and 2022, he worked on C. Tangana's international tour "Sin Cantar Ni Afinar Tour22", being the lead trumpet player, composer, and arranger of the live show, where he had the opportunity to perform on some of the world's most prestigious stages.
Since 2021, he has been a founding member of the brass ensemble "Hip Horns Brass Collective", a formation that has quickly made its mark on the lineup of numerous jazz and urban music festivals on Spain, thus consolidating its presence in the Spanish music scene.
